One weird trick so GitHub doesn't wreck your inbox
When you join a new GitHub organization it can quickly wreck your inbox.
If your GitHub handle is tied to your personal email as well as your professional, this can be especially annoying because it can send a ton of emails to your personal inbox that has no business being there.
Luckily, GitHub offers an easy way to take care of this.
First, add your work email address to your account here.
Then, go to the custom notification routing section of settings and click route the emails for the organization to your work email.
After that you can decide on if you want to setup custom email filter rules that send emails to specific folders in your inbox, archive them, delete them, or leave them alone. It's up to you.
